NABLUS: Israeli occupation forces detained a Palestinian young man and assaulted four other citizens in the village of Burqa, northwest of Nablus. The incident occurred on Thursday as reported by local sources. According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the head of Burqa village council, Ziad Ezzedine, stated that the occupation forces detained Nidal Hikmat Saif following a house raid. In addition to the detention, four other citizens were reportedly assaulted by the Israeli forces. Ezzedine noted that the occupation soldiers have been conducting operations in the village for two consecutive days. Their actions include practicing violence within the village boundaries, enforcing the closure of local shops, intercepting vehicles, and confiscating vehicle keys, causing significant disruptions to daily life in Burqa. Furthermore, Ezzedine highlighted that the presence of occupation forces has been persistent since the morning hours on the Nablus-Jenin road, opposite the entrance to Burqa villa ge.
