Jerusalem: Israeli occupation forces on Wednesday detained an employee of the Islamic Waqf Department in occupied Jerusalem.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the Jerusalem Governorate reported that Israeli forces detained Raed Zughair, an employee of the Islamic Waqf Department, as he entered the department's headquarters in the Bab al-Majlis area outside the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound.
The Waqf Department, which is run by Jordan, is the official body responsible for the affairs of holy sites in occupied Jerusalem.
