Dura:Hebron Israeli occupation forces detained 21 Palestinians from the town of Dura, located southwest of Hebron, on Tuesday. This action followed raids on their homes, during which properties were searched and their contents were ransacked. Additionally, in the village of Al-Burj, south of the governorate, occupation forces compelled a family to evacuate their home, subsequently converting the residence into a military barracks.
According to Palestine news & Information Agency – WAFA – English, security and local sources confirmed that the occupation forces detained several individuals from Dura. The sources also reported that the detainees were taken to an unknown location after their homes were searched and their belongings were rummaged through.
In the village of Al-Burj, south of Hebron, the family of 'Abd al-Jalil Khalil al-Talahmeh was forced to evacuate their home, which was then turned into a military barracks. This house is home to three families, consisting of 15 individuals, most of whom are children.
Furthermore, the occupation forces have established several military checkpoints at the entrances to the city of Hebron and its surrounding towns, villages, and refugee camps. They have also blocked numerous main and secondary roads with iron gates, concrete blocks, and earthen berms. The Hebron Governorate frequently experiences such incursions by the occupation forces, which include detention campaigns, home raids, and road closures. These measures disrupt the movement of residents and their daily lives, representing an escalation in Israeli military actions across the West Bank, imposing significant restrictions on the population, particularly in areas near settlements and bypass roads.
