RAMALLAH: Israeli occupation forces late last night and early Tuesday morning detained at least 15 Palestinians from multiple areas in the occupied West Bank. In a joint statement, the Palestinian Prisoner's Society (PPS) and the Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs Commission said the detentions were concentrated in the Ramallah governorate, while the rest of the detentions were distributed across the Bethlehem, Qalqilya, Nablus, and Tulkarm governorates. The statement said the number of detentions in the West Bank has risen since October 7, 2023, to about 9,870. This figure includes those who were detained from their homes and at military checkpoints and those who were forced to turn themselves in under pressure. This number does not include Palestinians detained in the Gaza Strip. Possibly thousands of Palestinians were detained by the Israeli occupation in the war-torn Gaza Strip.
