Israeli Forces Demolish House in Kafr ad-Dik Near Salfit

Salfit: Israeli occupation forces began demolishing a house in the town of Kafr ad-Dik, west of Salfit, on Tuesday. Local sources reported that Israeli bulldozers stormed the area between the towns of Bruqin and Kafr ad-Dik and commenced the demolition of the two-story house belonging to Sharif Fathi Ali Ahmad. The family was compelled to evacuate the residence several months ago.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, Israeli occupation authorities executed a total of 538 demolitions in 2025, targeting 1,400 structures as part of a systematic targeting of Palestinian construction and natural growth. These demolitions involved 304 inhabited homes, 74 uninhabited homes, 270 structures related to livelihoods, and 490 agricultural facilities. The majority of these demolitions were concentrated in the governorates of Hebron, Jerusalem, Ramallah, al-Bireh, Tubas, the northern Jordan Valley, and Nablus.

Additionally, the number of demolition and stop-work notices issued by the occupation authorities to citizens increased to 991. These notices were predominantly concentrated in the governorates of Hebron with 276, Ramallah and Al-Bireh with 169, and Bethlehem and Jerusalem with 124 each. This increase highlights the continued targeting of Palestinian construction under the pretext of lacking proper licenses.
