Gaza: Israeli authorities demolished five Palestinian homes and a prayer room today in the village of Al-Jiftlik, north of Jericho. The demolitions took place in the al-Du'aisat community located in the village's Abu Al-Ajjaj area, resulting in the destruction of the homes owned by Omar Du'ais and his sons.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the head of the Al-Jiftlik Village Council, Firas Ka'abneh, reported that the Israeli forces conducted the operation early Wednesday. The homes that were demolished were constructed with concrete and had tin roofs. Alongside these homes, a prayer room used by community residents for worship was also demolished.
The actions have raised concerns among the local Palestinian community and have drawn attention to the ongoing tensions in the region. The village council continues to seek ways to address the needs of the affected families.
