Tulkarm:Israeli occupation forces raided the vicinity of the Thabet Thabet Governmental Hospital in Tulkarm, located in the occupied West Bank, on Wednesday evening. During the operation, extensive searches were conducted in the area.
According to Palestine news & Information Agency – WAFA – English, eyewitnesses reported that the Israeli forces stormed and ransacked the home of Mohammed Ibrahim Shahada, who is the secretary of Fatah in the Tulkarm refugee camp. This location is situated behind the hospital. The witnesses further noted that this marked the third raid on Shahada's home since his detention.
Israeli special forces detained Shahada, aged 46, last September after they opened live fire on his vehicle in the eastern neighborhood of Tulkarm.
In another related incident, Israeli forces placed a warning sign at the entrance to al-Balawneh neighborhood in the Tulkarm refugee camp. The sign prohibits entry, declaring the camp a closed military zone.
Earlier on the same day, Israeli forces compelled 25 families to leave their homes in the western area adjacent to al-Hadida neighborhood near the camp. Furthermore, several homes in the area were converted into military barracks.
