Israeli Forces Conduct Major Raid in Al-Auja, Seal Off Village

Jericho: Israeli occupation forces today raided the village of Al-Auja, north of Jericho, deploying heavily throughout its streets under the pretext of an alleged stabbing incident in the village.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency, the head of the Al-Auja village council, Hani Najoum, reported that a large number of Israeli soldiers stormed the village, closing its entrances and preventing residents from entering or leaving. The forces also compelled shop owners to shut their businesses as part of the operation.

Najoum further detailed that Israeli forces conducted raids on several homes, seizing surveillance camera recordings from both shops and residences within Al-Auja. During the operation, Israeli helicopters were seen hovering over the area, adding to the intense military presence.

Additionally, the Israeli forces established a military checkpoint northwest of Jericho. This checkpoint resulted in the stopping of Palestinian vehicles and caused significant disruptions to traffic in the region.
