Ramallah: Israeli occupation forces briefly detained and assaulted a Palestinian teenager during a military raid on the town of Ni’lin, west of Ramallah, according to local sources.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency – WAFA, the incident occurred on Sunday evening when Israeli forces detained a 17-year-old teenager after physically assaulting him in the center of the town. The Israeli army and police have been conducting military incursions into the villages of Ni’lin and al-Midya, searching commercial shops and seizing surveillance camera recordings. These actions were carried out under the pretext of investigating an attempted stabbing attack against a colonist in the area.
In another incident, Israeli occupation forces assaulted a health department employee from Hebron Municipality. The employee was briefly detained at the As-Salaymeh military checkpoint in the Old City of Hebron before the assault took place.
