Hebron: Israeli occupation forces and colonists uprooted 150 olive trees on Tuesday in Umm al-Khair village in Masafer Yatta, south of Hebron, in the southern West Bank.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, Rateb al-Jabour, coordinator of the Popular Committees Against the Wall and Settlements in eastern Yatta and southern Hebron, reported that Israeli occupation forces and settlers stormed Umm al-Khair village. During the incursion, they uprooted 150 olive trees and destroyed agricultural and barbed wire fences owned by citizens near the "Karmiel" colony, which is constructed on citizens' lands and property in Masafer Yatta.
In a related development, Israeli occupation forces raided several homes in Umm al-Khair village, targeting properties owned by the al-Hathalin family. They caused extensive damage to the contents of these homes. Foreign activists and citizens were also assaulted during the operation, with reports indicating that they were beaten and prevented from taking photographs.
The incursions did not end there as occupation forces also entered the Raq'at Ihriz neighborhood in the town of Yatta. They raided the home of freed prisoner Thabet al-Sari' and his brother Yasser, causing destruction within the residence and conducting searches in all homes and caves in the village of Janba, located in the Masafer Yatta area.
