Israeli Forces and Colonists Isolate Homes in Southern West Bank Town

Bethlehem: Israeli occupation forces and colonists on Monday isolated four homes behind an iron gate in the Tuqu' town, southeast of the occupied West Bank city of Bethlehem, according to a municipal source.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, Tayseer Abu Mufreh, Director of the Tuqu' Municipality, stated that the occupying forces and colonists had relocated an iron gate in the Al-Ghazlan area to a location near the inhabitants' homes. This action resulted in the isolation of four homes belonging to the Sabah family.

Abu Mufreh further explained that the occupying forces removed another iron gate from the Al-Bariya area and erected it near residents' homes. This modification will deprive the inhabitants of access to their lands and prevent shepherds from reaching grazing areas.

He also noted that occupation forces have recently escalated their measures against the town, most notably by closing some of its entrances with earth mounds.
