Gaza City:A Palestinian was killed and several others were injured following an Israeli drone strike on the Tel al-Hawa neighborhood in southwestern Gaza City.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency – WAFA, the assault further extended to the Hamad camp north of Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip, where thousands of displaced families reside in makeshift tents.
The ongoing military campaign by Israel on the Strip since October 7, 2023, has resulted in the deaths of 74,245 Palestinians, predominantly women and children, and injuries to 175,267 others. The infrastructure of Gaza has suffered significant destruction, with 90% damaged, and reconstruction costs are estimated at $70 billion.
Since a ceasefire agreement was enacted on October 11, 2025, Israel continues to carry out operations in Gaza, leading to 1,462 Palestinian deaths and 5,151 injuries. During this period, the bodies of 836 Palestinians have been recovered.
The conflict has also led to the displacement of almost two million people across the Gaza Strip, with most forced into Rafah near the Egyptian border, marking the largest Palestinian mass displacement since the 1948 Nakba. Additionally, at least 10,000 people remain unaccounted for, believed to be trapped under the rubble.
