Nablus: Israeli colonists set fire to a restaurant near the towns of al-Lubban al-Sharqiya and Ammuriya, south of Nablus, early Sunday, according to local officials.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency, Yaqub Oweis, head of the al-Lubban al-Sharqiya Village Council and owner of the restaurant, reported that the colonists broke into the establishment, which is located near al-Zaytoonah University. The assailants smashed the restaurant's doors, stole an unspecified amount of cash, and then set the place on fire.
Oweis mentioned that the restaurant was completely destroyed in the fire. He further noted that this incident took place under the protection of the Israeli military. The restaurant primarily catered to university students, and the estimated losses due to the attack are around $330,000.
