Israeli Colonists Raze Agricultural Lands in Northern Jordan Valley.

Khallet Khader: Israeli colonists have reportedly razed vast areas of Palestinian lands in the Khallet Khader region of the northern Jordan Valley, escalating tensions in the area.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency – WAFA, local sources confirmed that the group of colonists targeted agricultural lands, some of which had been recently planted with olive trees just two weeks prior.

The northern Jordan Valley has been a flashpoint for daily violations and attacks by both the Israeli occupation and its colonists. These incidents include the seizure and bulldozing of additional areas of Jordan Valley lands, restrictions on Palestinian citizens’ access to pastures, demolition of homes, and assaults on residents. The pattern of aggression has been persistent, with notable incidents occurring in recent months.

Three months ago, colonists were reported to have stolen tents and property belonging to citizens in a residential area near the illegal colony of Mikhola. Furthermore, just ten days ago, th
ey reportedly erected a shack in the area, signaling ongoing efforts to establish a presence on the contested lands.

The situation has intensified following October 7, 2023, with the occupation army and colonists carrying out a total of 16,663 attacks on Palestinian lands and properties. This surge in activity highlights the ongoing struggle faced by Palestinians in the Jordan Valley and underscores the broader conflict over land and rights in the region.
