Nablus: Israeli colonists today stormed the archaeological site of Sebastia, north of the West Bank city of Nablus, according to an official. Sebastia mayor Mohammad Azzem reported that the colonists forced their way into the site under the protection of the Israeli military, which declared the site off-limits for Palestinians.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency – WAFA, a large unit of Israeli soldiers raided the town and proceeded to close the site, preventing Palestinians from accessing it. The incident highlights ongoing tensions in the region, with restricted access to historical sites causing concern among local communities.
