Gaza: Israeli colonists set up a tent on Wednesday on Palestinian-owned land belonging to the village of Rashaydeh, east of Bethlehem. The action has raised concerns among local residents about the potential establishment of an illegal settlement outpost.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the head of the Rashaydeh village council, Bakr Rashaydeh, reported that dozens of colonists erected the tent near the western entrance to the village. This development has heightened fears within the community, as it may signal the beginning of further encroachments on their land.
Bakr Rashaydeh further explained that the colonists have recently intensified their attacks against residents in the nearby Kisan area. These attacks have included assaults on homes, harassment of shepherds, and theft of sheep, adding to the growing concerns over security and property rights among the local Palestinian population.
