Jerusalem:Dozens of Israeli colonists entered the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied Jerusalem under the protection of Israeli occupation forces, using the Moroccan Gate, on the second day of the Jewish holiday of Sukkot.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency , the Jerusalem Governorate reported that these incursions occurred amid ongoing violations of the historical and legal status quo at Al-Aqsa Mosque. This includes the introduction of plant offerings into the courtyards, which Israeli police did not prevent, according to platforms affiliated with Temple groups.
The governorate also noted that the colonists performed Talmudic rituals near the Qattanin Gate, engaging in activities such as chanting songs, forming dance circles, performing prostrations, and collectively lying on the ground.
These actions, led by Israeli Knesset member Amit Halevi, are seen by the governorate as part of a continuing escalation in imposing Talmudic rituals within Al-Aqsa Mosque and attempts to change its established historical and legal status. The colonists entered in successive groups, bringing plant offerings into the mosque courtyards under the protection of Israeli police.
