Israeli Colonists Begin Road Construction, Disrupt Aboud Village Farmlands

Aboud: Israeli colonists on Monday tore up the landscape for the construction of a new road in the Aboud village, west of the occupied West Bank city of Ramallah, according to local sources.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the colonists escorted bulldozers to the western side of the village, where they razed over one kilometer of villagers' farmlands. This construction is intended to create a new road connecting recently-established colonial sites and outposts in the area.

The sources further indicated that the ongoing construction poses a threat to the destruction and potential seizure of additional farmland. This development is expected to further restrict the villagers' ability to access their own property.

Aboud has been a frequent target of attacks by Israeli colonists and measures by occupation authorities. These actions are part of efforts to expand colonial settlements, which include building new roads, razing land, and seizing large areas of Palestinian-owned land to benefit Israel's settler-colonialist project.
