Ramallah: Israeli colonists on Wednesday evening attacked Palestinian vehicles on the main road connecting the West Bank cities of Ramallah and Nablus, according to local sources. The incident occurred near al-Lubban ash-Sharqiya village following a traffic accident, leading to significant disruption and tension in the area.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency – WAFA, the security guard of the Eli settlement was involved in the attack, targeting scores of Palestinian vehicles. The security guard reportedly forced over 200 vehicles to turn back for more than five kilometers in the direction of Turmusayya village, northeast of Ramallah. The guard also used a loudspeaker to threaten vehicle owners with physical assault if they did not comply with orders to leave the scene.
The situation escalated further when Israeli occupation forces intervened, obstructing the movement of vehicles attempting to pass through the Mu’arrjat al-Lubban road. This intervention forced drivers to reroute toward Sinjil
town, north of Ramallah, resulting in a heavy traffic jam and increased frustration among the affected Palestinian drivers.
