Nablus: Israeli colonists on Monday evening vandalized Palestinian-owned property in the Qummas area between the village of Osarin and the town of Beita, south of Nablus, according to local sources. They reported that colonists attacked an agricultural shack in the area and smashed the windows of a vehicle.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the colonists had recently installed additional mobile homes in the area, which has recently been turned into a colonial outpost and has witnessed an upsurge of attacks. Violence by colonists against Palestinians and their property is routine in the West Bank and is rarely prosecuted by Israeli authorities.
These acts of violence include property and mosque arsons, stone-throwing, uprooting of crops and olive trees, and attacks on vulnerable homes. Approximately 1 million Israeli colonists are living in colonies in the West Bank and East Jerusalem in violation of international law.
