Salfit:Several farmers were assaulted by Israeli colonists in the Wadi an-Nar area, east of Marda, north of Salfit, on Tuesday evening. The farmers, from Marda village and the nearby town of Jamma'in, were attacked while harvesting olives.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency – WAFA, the colonists not only attacked the farmers but also stole their olive harvest. Two of the injured individuals were taken to a hospital in Salfit, where they are reported to be in stable condition.
This incident is part of a broader pattern of increasing assaults by colonists on Palestinians and their lands in the Salfit Governorate, particularly during the olive harvest season. The Colonization and Wall Resistance Commission reports that since October 7, 2023, colonists have conducted over 14,742 attacks in the occupied West Bank, including Jerusalem, resulting in the deaths of 66 Palestinians.
