Salfit:Israeli colonists attacked farmers and set two vehicles on fire in the Wadi al-Shaer area, east of Salfit, on Monday evening.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency – WAFA, local sources reported that the colonists assaulted farmers who were harvesting olives and torched the vehicles. Additional assaults were reported in the Wadi al-Ain area of Deir Ballut, west of Salfit.
The Wadi al-Shaer area has experienced repeated attacks by colonists, including physical assaults on Palestinians, vandalism, theft of olive harvests, and the destruction of trees. Colonists have also blocked roads with stones in previous incidents.
Violence by colonists against Palestinians and their property is a routine occurrence in the West Bank, often going unpunished by Israeli authorities. These acts of violence include arson of property and mosques, stone-throwing, uprooting of crops and olive trees, and attacks on homes. Approximately 1 million Israeli colonists reside in the West Bank and East Jerusalem, a presence considered a violation of international law.
