Israeli colonists, operating under the framework of the Israeli government's policies of settlement expansion, have been pushing for territorial control in the West Bank, including Masafer Yatta, which is considered an area at high risk of forced displacement due to ongoing settlement activities. As a result, Palestinians in the area live under constant fear of displacement.
