Nablus:Israeli colonists reportedly attacked Palestinian olive pickers in several areas north of the village of Lubban al-Sharqiya, south of Nablus, on Saturday. The attackers allegedly used pepper spray and attempted to steal the harvest from the olive pickers.
According to Palestine news & Information Agency – WAFA – English, local sources indicated that the colonists originated from an outpost in the Wadi Yasuf and Wadi al-Shaer areas, situated between Lubban al-Sharqiya and the town of Salfit. The sources reported that the colonists attacked the farmers during their olive harvest.
Furthermore, the sources claimed that colonists from an outpost in the nearby Wadi Abwein area, supported by Israeli occupation soldiers, forcibly expelled olive pickers from their lands situated south of the village.
