Gaza: Israeli bombing on Tuesday killed four Palestinians and injured others in Nuseirat refugee camp in the central Strip and al-Qarara town near Khan Younes in the southern Strip.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency – WAFA, Israeli occupation forces targeted a tent for displaced persons near the Sawahra cemetery, west of Nuseirat, resulting in the deaths of two members of the Thabet family.
The correspondent further reported that the occupation forces also targeted a house in al-Qarara town, killing two civilians and injuring others. The escalation follows Israel’s unilateral decision to end the Gaza ceasefire agreement, leading to a series of airstrikes across five Gaza municipalities.
The ongoing aggression has resulted in a death toll that has reached 412, with more than 564 others wounded, as reported by the Palestinian health ministry. Emergency teams continue to work on recovering victims trapped beneath the rubble.
The resumption of hostilities has raised concerns about the worsening humanitarian situation in the Strip, as the siege continues and medical and humanitarian aid remain restricted. Since October 2023, Israel’s military operations in the Strip have resulted in the deaths of over 48,572 Palestinians, predominantly women and children, with 112,032 others injured.
Additionally, at least 10,000 individuals are missing and presumed dead under the debris of their homes throughout the Strip. The conflict has also led to the displacement of nearly two million people across the Gaza Strip, with the majority seeking refuge in the overcrowded southern city of Rafah near the Egyptian border, marking the largest mass exodus in Palestine since the 1948 Nakba.
