Gaza strip: Israeli bombing on Wednesday evening claimed the life of a Palestinian in the al-Mawasi area, west of Khan Younis city in the southern Gaza Strip. The attack targeted a tent sheltering displaced individuals, resulting in critical injuries to a 39-year-old man who was later pronounced dead at Nasser Hospital.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency, Israel's military actions in the Gaza Strip have been ongoing since October 7, 2023. The conflict has led to the deaths of 73,470 Palestinians, predominantly women and children, and injuries to 174,540 others. The extensive damage to Gaza's infrastructure is estimated to cost $70 billion for reconstruction.
Despite the Gaza ceasefire agreement on October 11, 2025, Israeli forces have continued their operations, resulting in the deaths of at least 1,320 Palestinians and injuries to 4,385 others. During this period, the bodies of 815 slain Palestinians have been recovered.
Additionally, there are over 10,000 people unaccounted for, believed to be trapped under the rubble of their homes. The conflict has also displaced nearly two million people within Gaza, with most seeking refuge in the southern city of Rafah, marking the largest mass displacement since the 1948 Nakba.
