Israeli Authorities Issue Stop-Work Orders for Six Homes in Jenin-Area Town

Jenin: Israeli occupation authorities on Monday issued stop-work orders for six homes in the town of Silat al-Dhahr, south of Jenin, according to local officials.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency, Munther Hantouli, head of the Silat al-Dhahr Municipality, reported that Israeli forces raided the western part of the town and delivered six stop-work notices affecting six houses. He noted that five of these homes are currently inhabited.

Hantouli highlighted that the affected homes are situated along the colonial road that connects the Israeli settlements of Homesh and Sa-Nur. He expressed concerns over an escalating settlement campaign targeting the town, emphasizing that hundreds of dunums of Silat al-Dhahr's land have already been seized.
