Israeli Authorities Issue Demolition, Stop-Work Orders Targeting Vital Palestinian Homes in Qalqilya

Qalqilya: Israeli authorities issued stop-work and demolition orders on Wednesday for two Palestinian homes in the village of Azzun Atma, south of Qalqilya. Local sources said that Israeli troops raided the village and delivered two notices to resident Rami Sabri, ordering him to halt construction on two homes, each approximately 150 square meters in size, under the pretext of building without a permit.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency, the orders target essential housing for Palestinian families in the area. The village of Azzun Atma, like many other Palestinian localities in the region, has faced ongoing challenges related to building and maintaining homes due to Israeli regulations and permit requirements. The stop-work and demolition orders have raised concerns among residents and rights groups about the impact on the local community and the broader implications for Palestinian housing rights in the region.
