Israeli Authorities Impose Fine on Palestinian Company for Truck Release

Tubas:Israeli occupation authorities have imposed financial penalties on a Palestinian company in exchange for releasing several of its trucks that had been previously seized.

According to Palestine news and Information Agency, human rights activist Aref Daraghmeh reported that the authorities demanded approximately 31,000 shekels (about $10,100) to release trucks belonging to Al-Furat Agricultural Company. These trucks were seized while transporting a banana harvest from the Ras al-Ahmar area, located southeast of Tubas.

The Ras al-Ahmar area has been experiencing ongoing Israeli measures for months. Extensive land leveling is underway to construct a military road that is 22 kilometers long and 50 meters wide. This road stretches from the Ein Shibli checkpoint southeast of Tubas to the Tayasir checkpoint east of the governorate.
