Israeli Authorities Demolish Homes in Galilee Region

Kaabiya: Israeli authorities demolished two homes under construction in the Rashid neighborhood of the town of Kaabiya in the Galilee region, inside the 1948 territories, on the pretext that they were built without a construction permit.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency – WAFA, local sources reported that Israeli police demolition crews stormed the town, cordoned off the area, and prevented residents from approaching. They noted that the two homes had been standing for more than 60 years.

At least 12 other homes in the same neighborhood are under threat of demolition. Israeli authorities have continued to demolish homes and commercial properties in Palestinian towns in the 1948 territories, citing lack of permits as the reason for these actions.

Similar demolitions have occurred in multiple locations, including Rahat, Tuba, Zanghariya, Jadeidet Makr, Yarka, Zarazir, Acre, Nazareth, Umm al-Fahm, Shefa-Amr, Sakhnin, Ein Mahel, Jaffa, Kafr Qasim, Qalansawe, Kafr Yasif, Arara, Lod, Hurfeish, Kafr Qara, and other Arab towns in the Negev region and elsewhere.
