Jerusalem: Israeli police Thursday banned an employee of the Islamic Waqf Department from entering the Muslim holy compound in Jerusalem for two months. The decision impacts access to one of the most significant religious sites in the region.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the Jerusalem governorate stated that the occupation authorities issued a decision to deport Rami al-Khatib, an employee of the Islamic Waqf Department, from the Old City and Al-Aqsa Mosque for the two-month period. This move underscores ongoing tensions surrounding the administration and access to religious sites in Jerusalem.
