Jerusalem: Israeli occupation authorities issued a new military order to seize Palestinian lands in the Anata area, northeast of occupied Jerusalem.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency – WAFA, the Jerusalem Governorate stated that the total targeted area amounts to approximately 5,856 dunums. This includes 5,254 dunums classified as ‘state lands’ in the village of Anata, and 602 dunums of private property belonging to Palestinian citizens from Anata.
It is worth noting that 16,000 dunums of Anata’s total 34,000 dunums are classified as ‘state lands.’ The recent military order has further intensified concerns over land rights and ownership in the region, drawing attention to the ongoing complexities surrounding territorial claims and the impact on local Palestinian communities.
