Damascus: A number of Syrian citizens, including children and women, were killed and others wounded today in an Israeli airstrike targeting two areas in the Syrian capital, Damascus. A Syrian military source told SANA that the Israeli airstrike took place around 3:20 PM local time, with the missiles launched from the occupied Golan Heights. The targets included several residential buildings in the Mazzah neighborhood of Damascus and the town of Qudsaya, located in the countryside of the Syrian capital. According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the military source confirmed that the attack resulted in the murder of 15 people, with 16 others reported injured, including women and children. The initial toll also includes significant damage to both private property and the targeted residential buildings, as well as those in the surrounding areas. The latest assault is part of ongoing Israeli attacks on Syrian territory, which have intensified in recent weeks amid the continued Israeli assault on Lebanon.
