Gaza City: Three citizens were killed and others were injured on Saturday following an Israeli airstrike targeting civilians in the Shuja'iyya neighborhood east of Gaza City, as well as a house northeast of Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip. According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, local sources reported that an Israeli drone struck a house belonging to the Shaat family in the town of Al-Nasr, located northeast of Rafah. The attack resulted in the death of Jabr Shaat and left several others wounded. Further details from the sources indicate that another drone targeted a group of citizens in the Shuja'iyya neighborhood, resulting in the deaths of two individuals. The situation in the area has been further exacerbated by Israeli artillery shelling in the town of Abasan al-Kabira, east of Khan Yunis. The ongoing conflict has led to a significant rise in casualties in the Gaza Strip. The current death toll has reached 50,609, while the number of wounded has increased to 115,063 since the aggr ession began on October 7, 2023.
