Rahat:Israeli authorities have demolished several homes and agricultural structures made of corrugated iron in the southern area of Rahat, a city in the Naqab region within the 1948 territories. The demolitions took place on Tuesday morning, targeting properties belonging to the Abu Qirshin family and affecting dozens of residents.
According to Palestine news and Information Agency, the demolition was carried out using a heavy bulldozer, with Israeli police forces cordoning off the surrounding street to prevent interference. This incident comes just a day after Israeli authorities demolished all homes in the nearby village of Al-Dahiya, displacing around 300 members of the Abu Wadi family.
These demolitions are part of a broader issue affecting Arab communities in the Naqab region, where there is an ongoing crisis related to housing and urban planning. Residents live under the constant threat of demolition orders, fearing the loss of their homes and livelihoods. There are growing calls for solutions that ensure their right to housing and stability in the region.
