Iraq Condemns Israel’s Starvation Policy Against Gaza Civilians

Baghdad: The Iraqi government strongly condemned the deliberate policy of starvation imposed by the Israeli occupation on the Palestinian people in Gaza. Government spokesperson Bassem Al-Awadi asserted that it has become unequivocally clear that the Israeli occupation has flagrantly violated all humanitarian and legal standards. He emphasized that Israel has been using siege tactics and systematically preventing the entry of food and humanitarian aid as a deliberate tool to intensify the suffering and killing of Palestinian civilians.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency – WAFA, Al-Awadi called on all Arab and Islamic countries, the international community, and international organizations to take urgent action and exert the strongest possible pressure to ensure the immediate delivery of sufficient relief and food supplies to Gaza’s besieged population, in light of the occupation’s stubbornness and determination to pursue total war and to impose famine on the besieged population of Gaza.
