Burqa:A house was set on fire in the village of Burqa, east of Ramallah, today by a group of colonists. The home, belonging to resident Ahmed Muhammad Bajes, sustained extensive damage and is inhabited by a family of five.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency – WAFA, Sayel Kanaan, head of the Burqa Village Council, reported the incident and mentioned that the colonists had previously targeted Bajes. About a month ago, they cut down dozens of his olive trees and vandalized his vehicle. Bajes is noted to hold American citizenship.
The village of Burqa is experiencing daily attacks by colonists on residents and their agricultural lands. These incursions often aim to intimidate the local population. Last month alone, there were 647 reported attacks by colonists. These incidents were most frequent in the Ramallah and Al-Bireh Governorate, followed by other areas such as Nablus, Hebron, Jenin, Bethlehem, Tulkarm, and Jerusalem.
