Ramallah: The Palestinian Ministry of Health has strongly condemned an Israeli military raid last night on the ministry’s health clinic in the village of Kobar, located northwest of Ramallah in the occupied West Bank.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency – WAFA, a large Israeli military force stormed the clinic late last night, forcibly breaking down the doors before climbing to the roof of the building. The ministry described the raid as part of a broader pattern of Israeli attacks on Palestinian medical facilities.
In a brief statement, the Ministry of Health called the assault a blatant violation of international law, emphasizing that such actions constitute a deliberate targeting of essential health services.
The ministry also urged the international community to take immediate action to safeguard Palestinian health workers and medical infrastructure from further Israeli military aggression.
Of note, the Israeli occupation has frequently been attacking medical facilities, including clin
ics, hospitals, and ambulances, during its attacks in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip, drawing condemnation from various human rights groups.
