Gaza:Medical laboratories in the Gaza Strip are experiencing a critical shortage of essential equipment, which is vital for diagnosing and monitoring thousands of patients across various medical departments.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, medical sources have warned of catastrophic conditions, noting that 52% of the laboratory system's total equipment has been destroyed and is out of service. Additionally, about 30% of the remaining equipment is worn out and frequently malfunctions, with spare parts completely unavailable. This situation places the equipment at risk of sudden and total failure.
There is an urgent need for modern laboratory equipment to replace what has been destroyed. The continued deterioration of laboratory services is directly undermining the ability of medical teams to diagnose and treat patients effectively.
