Gaza: The death toll from the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip has risen to 71,439, while 171,324 others were wounded since the start of the offensive on October 7, 2023. Medical sources reported on Wednesday that 15 people were killed and taken to Gaza Strip hospitals in the past 24 hours, including two new slain ones and 13 whose bodies were recovered. A number of victims remain under the rubble and in the streets, as ambulance and rescue teams have been unable to reach them.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the sources indicated that the total number of martyrs since the aggression began continues to rise. The ongoing violence has left many areas inaccessible to rescue teams, complicating efforts to provide aid and locate survivors. The situation remains dire, with medical facilities overwhelmed by the number of casualties and the demand for urgent medical care escalating daily.
The conflict has prompted widespread international concern, with calls for immediate cessation of hostilities and humanitarian assistance for the affected populations. However, efforts to broker peace have yet to yield results, and the humanitarian situation continues to deteriorate.
