Gaza: The death toll in Gaza has risen to 48,284, the majority being women and children, since the Israeli genocidal war began in October 2023, according to local health authorities. According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, over the past 48 hours, hospitals in Gaza have received the bodies or remains of nine victims after being pulled out from the rubble, the sources confirmed. The number of injuries has also climbed to 111,709. Meantime, many victims remain trapped under the rubble, with emergency and civil defense teams unable to reach them. A ceasefire in Gaza took effect on January 19, but casualties have continued to be reported across various parts of the region since its implementation.
