Gaza: The death toll from the ongoing Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip has risen to 72,996, with 173,246 injuries since October 2023, medical sources announced on Sunday. Local health authorities reported an additional three fatalities and 16 injuries over the past 24 hours.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency, since the ceasefire entered into force on October 11 last year, at least 986 Palestinians have been killed by continued Israeli attacks, while injuries have climbed to 3,138. During the same period, 783 bodies have been recovered.
An unknown number of victims remain under rubble and in the streets, as ambulance and rescue teams are still unable to reach them due to ongoing conditions on the ground, the sources further noted.
