Washington:The 2026 Freedom Convoy USA is making its way from Los Angeles to Washington, DC, with 42 participants advocating for an end to US financial support for Israel and a shift in government priorities towards American citizens' needs.
According to Palestine news & Information Agency – WAFA – English, the convoy began its journey on October 17 from outside the Israeli Consulate in Los Angeles. The group is expected to arrive in Washington on October 26 to present a petition titled 'We the People' to congressional offices before the November 3 midterm elections.
The convoy comprises representatives from religious groups, former government employees, and veterans. They aim to engage in discussions with residents about US support for Israel and the allocation of taxpayer money. The campaign advocates for redirecting government efforts towards healthcare, housing, education, and childcare for American families and communities while ceasing US funding that contributes to the plight of the Palestinian people.
Additionally, the convoy seeks to uphold the right to criticize Israeli policies without being censored and questions the impact of lobbying groups on US policy decisions. The route of the convoy includes stops in several cities and locations such as Las Vegas, Flagstaff, Monument Valley, Albuquerque, Amarillo, Tulsa, St. Louis, Chicago, Fort Wayne, Dover, Farmington, Cumberland, Paw Paw, and Warrenton before arriving in the US capital.
