Foreign Ministry Condemns Trump’s Proposal to Displace Palestinians and Control Gaza

Ramallah: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates has expressed strong opposition to former President Donald Trump’s recent calls for displacing Palestinians and imposing control over Gaza. The Ministry praised the nations that have openly rejected these proposals, highlighting the potential dangers and negative consequences such actions could have on regional and global stability.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency – WAFA, the Ministry emphasized the importance of adhering to the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people. Central to these rights is the establishment of a Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital, in line with the two-state solution principle. The Ministry views this as a critical step toward resolving the ongoing conflict.

Furthermore, the Ministry urged countries that have not yet declared their positions on Trump’s calls to do so promptly. It called for clear stances that oppose displacement and annexation, ensuring alignment with international law and resolutions that support international legitimacy.
