Foreign Ministry Condemns Israeli Officials’ Calls for Sovereignty Over West Bank.

Ramallah: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates has vehemently condemned remarks made by several Israeli officials who have called for imposing "sovereignty" over the occupied West Bank. According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the Ministry issued a statement on Monday, labeling these remarks as an example of colonial racism and a continuation of the ongoing displacement and genocidal war against the Palestinian people. The Ministry further stated that these comments represent a blatant disregard for international legitimacy resolutions and the global consensus on the two-state solution. The Ministry emphasized that the international community's failure to enforce United Nations resolutions concerning the Palestinian issue, including those demanding an end to the genocide, is encouraging the Israeli ruling right-wing to persist in its crimes and violations. These actions, the Ministry warned, are aimed at liquidating the Palestinian cause and undermining the prospects for a two- state solution. In response to these developments, the Ministry called for a strong international reaction. It urged the UN Security Council to pass a resolution granting the State of Palestine full membership in the United Nations, halting the genocide, and implementing binding measures to enforce the General Assembly's decision regarding the advisory opinion of the International Court of Justice. Additionally, the Ministry highlighted the importance of imposing effective international sanctions on the occupation, its leaders, colonial figures, and terrorist groups as a crucial step in stopping Israel's violations of the Palestinian people's rights.
