Hebron: Five Palestinians, including two women, two men, and a child, were injured in an attack by Israeli colonists in the village of Umm al-Khair, located in Masafer Yatta, south of Hebron.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency, anti-settlement activist Osama Makhamreh reported that the victims sustained bruises and contusions during the assault. This incident is part of a broader pattern of violence in the region, as colonists also attacked the vehicle of Imad Hawshiya, a Palestinian resident of al-Markaz village, by pelting it with stones along the al-Zuweidin road. Fortunately, no injuries were recorded in this particular incident.
Further unrest occurred in the Wadi al-Rakhim area, where colonists vandalized the property of a local Palestinian family. In Khirbet al-Hummus, colonists, under the cover of Israeli soldiers, released livestock around Palestinian homes, effectively trapping residents inside.
According to the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission, there were 2,256 documented attacks on Palestinians and their property in July, comprising 1,458 by Israeli forces and 798 by colonists. These attacks were heavily concentrated in the governorates of Ramallah and al-Bireh, Nablus, Jenin, Bethlehem, and Hebron.
The commission highlighted that these figures indicate a coordinated effort between the military and colonists, with the Israeli army often providing protection and enabling the continuation and escalation of such attacks.
