Nablus: Israeli occupation forces on Sunday night detained a young Palestinian man from the village of Al-Lubban ash-Sharqiya, south of Nablus, after brutally assaulting him and his father during a military raid. Local sources told WAFA that Sami Ibrahim Daraghmeh was violently beaten by Israeli soldiers, resulting in fractures and bruises, before being detained. His father was also assaulted while attempting to defend him. According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the detention occurred during an Israeli raid into the center of the village, where forces set up a military checkpoint, disrupting the movement of residents and vehicles and sparking fear and tension among locals. Israeli forces continue to escalate violations against Palestinians in villages and towns south of Nablus through daily raids, physical assaults, home invasions, and arbitrary detentions. Meanwhile, in Jenin, Israeli forces stormed the town of Marka, south of the governorate, and detained a man and his son after raidin g their home. According to local sources, the troops detained Ali Nafe' Mousa, 70, head of the Marka village council, along with his son Zuhair, 40, after thoroughly searching their home and ransacking its contents.
