BRUSSELS: The High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy of the European Union, Joseph Borrell, has issued a grave warning regarding Israel's decision to terminate its agreement with the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA). Borrell emphasized that this move could potentially deprive millions of Palestinians of essential life-saving services. According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, Borrell expressed his concerns through a post on the X platform, highlighting the dire situation in northern Gaza, where the last three partially operating hospitals are being targeted with unprecedented intensity in modern warfare. He underscored the urgency of halting the ongoing conflict and facilitating the unimpeded delivery of humanitarian aid to the besieged region. In addition to addressing the situation in Gaza, Borrell also called for an immediate end to the violence perpetrated by settlers and the destruction occurring in the West Ban k. He urged for a cessation of the illegal occupation of Palestinian Territories, stressing the importance of restoring peace and stability to the region.
