Jerusalem: European diplomatic missions in Jerusalem and Ramallah on Saturday condemned the escalating attacks by Israeli colonists and occupation forces against Palestinians in the West Bank, calling for accountability and protection for Palestinian communities. According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, in a joint statement, the missions of Belgium, Canada, Denmark, the European Union, Ireland, Finland, France, Lithuania, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain, the United Kingdom, Sweden, and Switzerland strongly condemned the escalating 'settler terrorism' and violence carried out by Israeli forces against Palestinian communities. The missions expressed shock over the killing of Palestinians in recent weeks, stressing that violence carried out by settler militias-aimed at seizing land and creating a coercive environment to force residents to leave their homes-must stop. They called on Israeli authorities to prevent and hold accountable those responsible for deadly acts of violence, raids, and attacks, stressing that Israel, as the occupying power, bears responsibility for protecting Palestinian communities.
