Ramallah: An elderly citizen, 73, was killed on Monday night in a traffic accident that occurred on the Ein Siniya road, north of Ramallah and al-Bireh Governorate.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, police spokesperson Brig. Gen. Louay Arizikat stated that the accident happened when a vehicle collided with a truck parked along the side of the main road on the Ein Siniya route. The collision resulted in injuries to two people, who were subsequently taken to a hospital in Ramallah.
Doctors later confirmed that the driver, one of the injured individuals, had died from the injuries sustained in the accident. Additionally, a woman involved in the collision sustained moderate injuries.
Arizikat also confirmed that the Public Prosecution was notified, and traffic police have initiated an investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the accident.
